CING Talks Nr 4 at the Ericsson Imagine Studio with Cecilia Atterwall, I99, Head of Marketing at Ericsson.

Thursday the 16th of May, Cecilia Atterwall and our president Denis Norman welcomed just over 40 Chalmerister welcome to a unique CING Talks hosted by the Ericsson Imagine Studio in Kista. The Studio was a fantastic expirence center which serves to inspire a wide range of visitors to Ericsson.

Cecilia, who has over 25 years of experience with Ericsson, presented a her journey through Ericsson in a fascinating talk which went there her world straight out of university, through various positions in the company and finally an overview of how Ericsson is positioned to meet the challenges of the global telecom market going forward. When Cecilia, showed how the speed of data traffic in our telecommunication networks have increased a million times over the last 30 years, many in the audience were quite surprised. Cecilia is very proud of her time in the Ericsson Consumer Lab where Ericsson's technology and expertise in the telecom world was connected to the user experience and leveraged to solve tomorrow's challenges. After a short QA which touched on AI, EU regulation, and Ericsson's growing market in India, it was time for a tour of the Studio and all of the different demos on display.

First out was a demonstration of the Real Time Digital Twin, an Ericsson demonstration which showed how an intelligent 5G network with basic cameras and sensors can accurately recreate the real world with a digital twin and visa versa. Bo Hedfors from the CING Stockholm Board was the lucky test subject where his generated digital twin caused an alert when he marched into a restricted area created with geo-fencing. All of this was directed live by the Studio, an amazing demonstration.

The demonstration was generally focused on how combining cutting edge computing power with a 5G network lifts both in terms of capability, environmental sustainability, and safety. By using the 5G network for both connectivity but also intelligence closer to the user, significant energy savings can be achieved while also limiting the exposure of sensitive data to malicious actors.

The groups then split into two separate experiences. The first was a panorama of Ericsson's world leading RAN products on the so called 'Radio Wall' where the antennas that are typically hidden from sight are front and center. The second was the Enterprise room where the groups got to see how 5G is being applied to a wide array of applications in ports, mines, factories, logistic centers and even healthcare.

Afterwards, everyone gathered in the reception area for some delicious refreshments where everyone could reflect on the experience and maybe even come up with future uses of our 5G networks.

The Board for CING Stockholm would like to thank Cecilia Atterwall and Jan Tezcanli, Head of Customer Engagement for their gracious hospitality.
